In order to receive the Certificate in Legal Research, you must complete assignments from eight (8) of the certification classes you attend for this entire academic year. The assignment for this class is due on 4/28/2014 at 11:59pm.

The Assignment is on CourseSites and consists of multiple choice questions.  For each question, only one answer is correct.

    Environmental Law Research

Environmental law research is heavily controlled by federal laws and regulations.  Getting into these materials can be daunting.  This class session will help you become more comfortable with resources commonly used by environmental lawyers.

When getting into environmental law, it is a good idea to start with secondary resources to learn about the specific laws and regulations that may be involved in your issue(s).  A list of some of the most useful secondary sources is on the Secondary/Practice tab.

Note that environmental law research can interdisciplinary and therefore Penrose Library, DU's main campus library, may also have other valuable resources not specific to law.
